Fee Discounts
To encourage usage of the token, CRE8 Finance offers a significant incentive: 25% discount on platform fees when fees are paid in $CRE8. Concretely:
Suppose the platform fee for a gig is normally 4% of the transaction (for example). If the fee would be $10 in USDC, a user holding or opting to pay with $CRE8 would only pay $7.5 worth of $CRE8.
The mechanics could be:
Either the platform simply charges 75% of the normal fee if the user has enough $CRE8 in their wallet.
Or the platform might charge full fee but then immediately refund 25% in $CRE8 to the user (less likely, simpler to just reduce fee upfront).
This discount applies to both buyers and sellers if they are the ones paying the fee. Typically, marketplaces charge fees to sellers (deducted from payout) or split between parties. CRE8 could charge the service provider, for example, 5% fee on earnings. With $CRE8, that provider would only effectively pay 3.75%. This can be a strong reason for freelancers to hold some $CRE8.
The 25% figure is a generous discount, underlining that $CRE8 is central to the ecosystem. It creates a circular flow: users buy $CRE8 to save on fees, which increases demand and value, benefiting all token holders.
