Understanding the lifecycle of a tokenized service (“gig”) on CRE8 is crucial. Below we outline the typical flow of how a service is listed and fulfilled on CRE8, involving both on-chain and off-chain steps. This covers the journey from a provider listing a service token, to a buyer purchasing it through the escrow, and finally the settlement and review process.
Figure: High-level workflow of a tokenized service transaction on CRE8. The service provider mints a token for their offering and lists it on the CRE8 marketplace. When a buyer purchases it, payment is held in the escrow smart contract while the service is delivered off-chain. Upon completion and verification, funds are released to the provider, and a review can be recorded on-chain to update the provider's reputation.
