5. Ratings and Reputation

After the transaction, CRE8 encourages the buyer to leave a review or rating for the seller:

  • The buyer can rate the service (e.g., 5-star scale or similar) and write feedback. This feedback is important for the seller’s on-chain reputation.

  • CRE8’s system likely records the rating on-chain or at least the aggregate score in a decentralized way. For instance, the platform might mint a “reputation NFT” or update a reputation score linked to the seller’s wallet address. This makes the reputation portable – the seller can prove their track record even outside the CRE8 platform because it’s tied to their wallet, not a centralized database.

  • Reviews text might be stored off-chain for space reasons, but a hash of the review or the rating value could be stored on-chain for integrity.

The seller’s profile dashboard will show the new rating, and their overall stats (number of gigs completed, average rating, total earnings, etc.) update accordingly. Future buyers can see this reputation to inform their decisions.
